• 3-D Noise Reduction
This frame based innovation in 3 dimensional noise reduction provides more accurate noise reduction because it is based on twice the amount of visual information than conventional field based types. Video noise is reduced by 30 percent in low light for a 2dB improvement in the signal-to-noise ratio. This technology allows you to get a bright picture with less noise, even in low light.
• Digital Media Camera
Everio is a next generation type of camera, a digital media camera, offering applications beyond that of conventional digital video cameras or digital still cameras. Everio comes with a large capacity, card type removable hard disk drive termed Microdrive, making a world of videography and photography possible. Compactness, large capacity, high quality pictures and reliable portability are the keys to Everio.
• MPEG-2 High Quality Video Clips
In the video camera mode you can shoot up to 60 minutes of high quality MPEG-2 video clips or over 5,500 1600 x 1200 UXGA high resolution stills and store them onto the supplied 4GB Microdrive card.
A choice of four recording modes lets you choose between more shooting time or higher quality, depending on the needs. The highest quality Ultra Fine mode records at a fixed data rate of 8.88 Mbps including AC 3 audio comparable to the DVD (average 4 Mbps video/9.8 Mbps maximum) data rate for essentially DVD level quality in the same video and audio format as a movie DVD.
As a result, Everio images can be enjoyed on a large screen display, including plasma, LCD and rear projection TVs, without the quality loss suffered by other formats when presented on a large display.
• Megabrid Engine
The Megabrid Engine applies separate, optimized processing to moving and still images to reproduce both with excellent quality. Using this technology, video images have a high sensitivity and high signal-to-noise ratio, even in low light. In addition, the high resolution still images are crisp and clear, allowing for beautiful quality prints. RGB based processing assures more rich and realistic color reproduction.
• Super Hi Resolution Lens
The redesigned super hi resolution lens has a 9 group 11 element structure featuring a high precision glass aspherical lens which offers superior resolution. In addition, the 10x optical zoom lens assures high quality pictures for both moving and still images.
• Compatible Media
A Microdrive/High Speed CF - CompactFlash and SD - Secure Digital double card slot is provided on Everio. The Microdrive/CF and SD can be set simultaneously, allowing you to store both moving pictures and stills separately. Data copy between Microdrive/CF and SD card is also possible.

• Audio - Voice Recording
Stereo microphone, Wav files can be recorded with 16-bit 48kHz PCM sampling at up to 1.5 Mbps, and at three different quality settings (Fine, Standard, Eco) 5hrs. 47 mins in Fine mode, 34hrs. 43min in Eco mode (8kHz sampling, 256kbps).
• CyberLink DVD Solution
Supplied software for easily creating a DVD of your videos.
The three bundled software applications that come with CyberLink allow you to save, manage, create, and distribute your memories. In addition to making it easy to create DVDs, the supplied software supports a variety of file formats for distribution via the web or by e-mail. Supported formats include DV-AVI, Windows-AVI, MPEG-1 and MPEG-2, as well as Windows Media Video and RealVideo movies that can be streamed over the Internet.
Power Producer offers easy saving (authoring) of video clips you choose in any order to DVD, even right from a USB connected camera, so you can share your original DVDs with anybody who owns a DVD player.

• Rotating Grip
For smooth transitions you can adjust the grip angle +/-45 degree, allowing comfortable shooting even at high or low angles.
• PictBridge and Digital Print Order Format
Just connect the USB terminal and print digital stills directly from the camera to a PictBridge compatible printer. The camera directly creates Digital Print Order Format (DPOF) information for selection and multiple image quantity printing, with rotation, index printing, user and picture title information.
• Intelligent Graphical User Interface (GUI)
Effortlessly access a host of functions is at the tip of your thumb through JVC's intuitive, high-resolution GUI. Use the menu to select manual functions including Focus, White Balance, Shutter Speed, Exposure and Program AE. Use the thumbnail displays to easily find and view your stored videos and stills, as well as manage, protect, rearrange them and much more.
• Self Timer
By setting the self timer, a still image is recorded 2 or 10 seconds after pressing recording start/stop button.
